Lech Bridge in Poznań - next stage
The renovation of the Lech Bridge began in August 2018. The northern part was demolished. The assembly of the steel structure of the northern thread has already been completed. The support elements were transported at night so as not to overload the traffic in the area of the bridge. So far, all foundations and supports, diaphragm walls and assembly of steel construction elements have been completed. The new three-span structure has a length of 236 metres. Approximately 7,000 cubic metres of concrete and around 25 500 thou. tonnes of steel will have to be used to build the bridge. Three roadway lanes, a footpath and a bicycle path will lead through it.
The project is co-financed by the City of Poznań and the European Union from the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2014-2020, under Measure 4.2, “Increasing transport accessibility of urban centres located outside the TEN-T road network and relieving cities from excessive road traffic”. The amount of co-financing is over PLN 51 million. The facility is being built by a consortium of MOST sp. z o.o. and KONSTRUKCJE STALOWE HYŻYK
